## Hormones & Life Transitions

## Naturopathic care for women through all of life's phases and stages.

This photo is of my mother and grandmother - their lives inspire my work every day.

I watched them navigate illness and aging, and realized that surviving isn’t the same as thriving. Many patients arrive with fatigue, hormone changes, or ongoing health challenges and I see the same opportunity to support them in living well, not just managing symptoms.

Naturopathic medicine allows me to look at each person’s unique health journey and provide safe, evidence-informed strategies that help you feel your best.

## How I Support Women Through Life Transitions

Menopause & Perimenopause

Although menopause is a normal and healthy process it can be symptomatic and disruptive for many individuals. The body and its hormones adjust as estrogen levels decline and these adjustments can be responsible for many symptoms, including: hot flashes, insomnia, anxiety, depression, irritability, heavy and frequent periods, and an aggravation of other health concerns.

Perimenopause includes the years leading up to menopause and can start as early as 40 in some individuals. It is typically a period of erratic estrogen levels combined with higher-than-average estrogen levels.

Depending on where you are in this transition there are many evidence-based naturopathic treatments that can be helpful at symptom reduction and supportive in balancing hormones and health throughout.

Perimenopause Mood Map

For those struggling with the mental and emotional challenges of perimenopause who want a more comprehensive plan, Dr Bauer has created a signature care system to help support you through.

The Perimenopause Mood Map is a 4 pillar system that walks you through the physiological and biological changes that can be playing a role in your symptom presentation. The Perimenopause Mood Map will connect you to a community of individuals working through similar concerns as you work through the unique protocols and support for: inflammation, histamine intolerance, stress response, hormone balancing, metabolic health, cellular and cognitive health as well as support for any unresolved trauma or stress management concerns that might be showing up at this time.
