How it Works:
The Perimenopause Mood Map outlines 4 main pillars of care involved in mental and emotional health during perimenopause as identified by research and clinical experience. The 4th pillar of care is a maintenance plan for lasting change and support.
As well as the 4 pillars of care there are some consistent aspects of health and wellness to support throughout. Dr. Bauer refers to these threads as 'Daily's'. This includes: nervous system regulation, rest & routine and elimination.
Your Initial appointment and lab testing will help identify your unique starting point and direction through the system. Below are the pillars of care and the Daily's outlined in more detail.

What to Expect
1. An initial discovery call to see if this program is a good fit for you.
2. Your initial appointment (90 minutes). This can be either virtual or in person. Dr. Bauer will do a thorough assessment of your health and spend time to understand your unique goals within this program. There will be discussion about which functional health tests are recommended for you.
3. Your unique, initial plan and roadmap will be shared with you within 2 days time. This will outline your starting point within the Perimenopause Mood Map (PMM) and your starting therapeutic recommendations as well as your unique Daily's. This plan will outline a framework for functional health tests and what to expect for a timeline working through the system.
4. Your second appointment (60 minutes). This can be either virtual or in person. This appointment will be scheduled for 3 - 4 weeks after the first appointment. This will give time for you to start working on any initial recommendations, your Daily's and time for any testing to come in. During this appointment you will go over any testing completed, follow up on how you're doing since the start of the Perimenopause Mood Map and build out your treatment plan based on any new information. At this point you will have a clear plan and understanding of what your course through the PMM will look like.
5. Ongoing appointments ( 45 minutes). These can be either virtual or in person. Ongoing appointments are scheduled monthly for the duration of the Perimenopause Mood Map to work through the pillars. New testing will be introduced throughout to reevaluate your progress and assess different systems as you graduate from pillar to pillar. It will typically take 6 - 8 months to complete the plan. Everyone is different and progresses differently although the PMM is set up for success within 6 - 8 months.
